Most students stay with us for two years. We're proud of their achievements and you can read about our current and past student stories on their pages. Of the 240 students enrolled during all previous academic years (2000-2008):

• 6 were still enrolled in Learning Inc. in 2008-2009

We maintain contact with 65% (151) of the remaining students and of those:

• 48% (72) are enrolled in high schools or GED programs

• 32% (49) are enrolled in high schools

• 15% (22) are enrolled in GED programs

• 24% (36) have earned a high school diploma or GED

• 34% (51) are employed

• 3% (4) are deceased

• 3% (5) are incarcerated  

Learning Inc demographics:

• 87% of our Learning Inc. families are below federal poverty level in 2009-2010

• 48% of our parents/guardians are unemployed or employed part time

• 88% of our students are African American

• 82% of our students live in single parent families

• 15% of our students live with other – guardian or other relative or shelter

• only 3% of our students live with both parents
