New to Learning Inc. this year is a partnership with the Baltimore City Public Health Department (BCPHD) and Operation Safe Kids (OSK). OSK is a violence prevention program that provides case management and increased supervision to young people at risk of violence. It provides a continuum of services, from substance abuse and mental health treatments to employment assistance and education. Starting this fall, the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and OSK can send adjudicated youth to Learning Inc. for academic instruction. We anticipate having up to 30 OSK students.
